Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, signed on Tuesday a contract for the delivery of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters to the Polish Army. "This is a milestone in the transformation of the army, the most modern helicopters in the most modern version," said the Minister of Defense. The purchase of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters in the Guardian version was announced in 2022.
The minister also reminded that the first two of the 32 ordered F-35 fighters are scheduled to be handed over to the Polish Air Force in August. However, for now, the machines will remain in the US, where Polish pilots and technicians will train on them.
