According to media reports that the largest flood in Poland in decades may have been caused by conscious and extremely dangerous government "green" policy.
A youth activist, Oskar Szafarowicz, posted a strong comment on this matter that reflects a growing concern:
"Are we dealing with the biggest scandal in the history of the Third Polish Republic?! If unofficial reports are confirmed, it will be possible to argue that the largest #Flood in Poland in decades was caused by conscious and extremely dangerous government policy! Why such a radical assumption? There is a suspicion that the central decision was made not to release water successively at times of low water in order to lend credence to the eco-ideological narrative of the governing coalition about the climate crisis and the gigantic drying up of Polish rivers!"
Politicians of Donald Tusk's coalition spoke in this tone, including Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Urszula Zielińska (KO; Greens)! (…) If the worst-case scenario and the deliberate suspension of water discharges a dozen or so days ago are confirmed, this government must immediately resign and a new majority responsible for Poland should be created!
