A vote was held in Strasbourg on the immunity of Marcin Romanowski, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Deputies waived the immunity of the Polish opposition MP.
The vote was preceded by a heated debate during which politicians of various stripes spoke. MP Katarzyna Sójka drew attention to the illegality of the prosecutor's office that submitted the request.
The Hungarian MEP, like PiS politicians, pointed out that Romanowski did not have time to properly prepare to defend the motion before the vote.
85 votes were for waiving Romanowski's immunity - 23 against.
