The prosecutor's office - knowing that Mr. Wąsowski was the suspects' defense attorney - wanted to question him as a witness, even though the Penal Code prohibits this. And now the Prosecutor's Office states that since the court banned the suspects from contacting witnesses, he also can't talk to them.
Prosecutor Piotr Woźniak sent a letter of warning to attorney Krzysztof Wąsowski, attorney-in-fact of Fr. Michał Olszewski:
"I would like to inform you that the ban also applies to you. In such circumstances, your continued representation of suspects (...) results in negative procedural consequences for the indicated suspects."
PN: The intimidation, persecution, and dirty legal tricks become the signature behavior of the current Polish government. It's very troubling.
