"Make Europe Great Again" days former PM Mateusz Morawiecki

"We have a mission to make Europe a continent of modern industry, a continent of Christian values, a place for the family, a continent of normality. Wake up, Europe! You can be really great. Let's do it together: Make Europe Great Again!" - appealed by Mateusz Morawiecki, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, during his speech at the Atreju conference in Rome.

Morawiecki is to take over the leadership of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) party from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni before Donald Trump is sworn in as US president; the decision is to be announced in Rome - wrote the Italian daily "Il Giornale" a few days ago.

Today, the Atreju conference, one of Italy's most important political events, takes place in Rome. It is during this event that, according to unofficial information, Mateusz Morawiecki is to be announced as the new chairman of the ECR.

After many troubles and problems, we found ourselves here, in Rome. The place where a great empire, a great civilization, was founded. Europe was born here. Today, we look at brave and courageous people like Giorgia Meloni. It's time to start a new journey. To discover the greatness of Europe again. Europe is the heart of the world. The best civilizations were born here. The best ideas were born here. Here was Aristotle, Saint Augustine. The best inventions were created here, – Morawiecki began.
