Russia closes the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in St. Petersburg and expels three diplomatic employees. The facility will cease to exist on January 10, 2025.
Information on this matter was provided by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As it was emphasized, Moscow's decision is a reaction to the closure of the Consulate General of Russia in Poznań by the Polish authorities on November 30.
Russian consulate was closed by Polish authorities after it became obvious that the Russian Federation was behind the sabotage attempts in Poland and in allied countries.
