Polish town offers Musk its crown jewel, a historic castle

The mayor of a small (5.5k) historic town of Głogówek, Piotr Bujak, offered Elon Musk to buy a historic castle related to the history of several nations:
"Even if Musk does not want to buy our castle, we have succeeded in drawing media attention to the real problem of saving this type of facility from destruction."
After learning about Elon Musk's intention to buy a castle in Europe, the mayor of Głogówek, Opole Voivodeship, made an offer to the billionaire to buy a historic building in this city.

"The history of the castle dates back to the Middle Ages, although it was rebuilt and modernized many times by subsequent owners. It also has its place in history because during the Swedish invasion called "Deluge," the Polish king John Casimir and his entire court stayed in this castle. Ludwig van Beethoven lived and created here, too. "Within a radius of four hundred kilometers from Głogówek there are the capitals of six European countries, and three thousand square meters of the castle is an area that can be used in many ways," - says Mayor Bujak.

"For me, the castle is, above all, a monument that can and should be saved. According to recent estimates, the cost of restoring it to use is approximately one hundred million zlotys ($25M). Our community can not afford such an expense. Either the state or a serious private investor must step in here. I am talking about a serious investor, because our castle already had a private owner, who, however, did not fulfill the obligation to rebuild it and the town regained it in 2013 after the court battle. We managed to renovate the roof and the front facade, but we realized that this was not enough. Perhaps now that our castle has become a topic of public discussion, someone will find a good idea for its use."

PN: This is a great idea. Hopefully, either Elon Musk or Donald Trump will take them on the offer. While it is not a $25M mansion, it is a solid structure that survived many wars. It is a solid real estate investment that will stand another couple of centuries.

Apparently, the castle also has its own ghost.
