President Nawrocki vetoed the wind farm bill

Today, the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, announced his decision to veto the wind farm law.

"It's a form of blackmail by the parliamentary majority and the government, not only against the President of the Republic of Poland, but also against people," he explained. "This bill concerns wind farms, not lowering electricity prices," he explained. The president added that lowering prices requires abandoning the ETS and the Green Deal.

The President also assured that his office had prepared a draft resolution which, if quickly processed by the Parliament, could, with the President's signature, guarantee Poles an extension of the electricity price relief from the end of September.

The Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, launched an attack on Karol Nawrocki by manipulating the facts. 

Malice or appalling incompetence on the part of President Nawrocki. It's possible it's both. His veto means more expensive electricity for all Poles – now and in the future. The first tests: diplomacy and energy, failed. Everyone will pay.

PN: The PM seems to forget that it was his job to represent Poland when other European leaders went to Washington. He was even reminding the president about that, and then he didn't go (or was not invited).

Trump krytykuje „fake newsy” na temat szczytu z Putinem

„Fake News od trzech dni powtarzają, że poniosłem »poważną porażkę«, pozwalając prezydentowi Rosji Władimirowi Putinowi na zorganizowanie dużego szczytu w Stanach Zjednoczonych” – napisał Trump w poście. „Właściwie to on by chętnie zorganizował to spotkanie gdziekolwiek indziej, byle nie w Stanach Zjednoczonych, i fałszywe wiadomości o tym wiedzą. To był poważny punkt sporny! Gdybyśmy zorganizowali szczyt gdzie indziej, media zarządzane i kontrolowane przez Demokratów powiedziałyby, jaka to była straszna rzecz.

PN: Trudno powiedziec czy Prezydent Trump mial na mysli Anne Applebaum, ale jej ataki na niego nie pomoga jej malzonkowi, Radkowi Sikorskiemu, jesli zostanie premierem.

Poland not represented in today's meeting in Washington

 Donald Trump will hold talks at the White House today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who will be accompanied by European leaders. 

No Polish representatives will be present. Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski claims that Donald Trump is inviting guests to the White House, and President Karol Nawrocki has a good relationship with him that he should capitalize on. 

Presidential Minister Marcin Przydacz, in turn, announced that "the discussion regarding participation in the joint visit of the so-called 'coalition of the willing' to the US took place with the participation of Minister R. Sikorski." But, Sikorski did not declare Poland's readiness to participate in the visit to the USA.

PN: Sikorski wants to be the next Prime Minister. Not being ready to participate in the most important event in the 21st-century is not a good start, and his wife, Anne Applebaum, writing attack pieces not knowing the details of proposed deal is not helping either.

Trump twierdzi, że spotkanie z Putinem przyniosło „ogromny postęp”, ale ...

 Prezydent Donald Trump powiedział, że on i prezydent Rosji Władimir Putin odbyli na Alasce „niezwykle produktywne spotkanie” na temat zakończenia wojny na Ukrainie, ale podkreślił również, że „nie ma porozumienia, dopóki nie będzie porozumienia”.

„Powiem, że uważam, że odbyliśmy bardzo produktywne spotkanie. Było wiele, wiele punktów, co do których się zgodziliśmy, powiedziałbym, że większość z nich – kilka ważnych, których nie do końca udało nam się osiągnąć, ale poczyniliśmy pewne postępy. Nie ma więc porozumienia, dopóki nie będzie porozumienia” – powiedział Trump.

Trump zapowiedział, że jego następnym krokiem będzie kontakt z Organizacją Traktatu Północnoatlantyckiego (NATO) i prezydentem Ukrainy Wołodymyrem Zełenskim.

„Zadzwonię do różnych osób, które uznam za stosowne, i oczywiście zadzwonię do prezydenta Zełenskiego, aby opowiedzieć im o dzisiejszym spotkaniu. Ostatecznie to od nich zależy” – dodał.

On Polish Army Day, the Polish embassy in Italy "forgot" about the Polish war cemetery at Monte Cassino

 Ryszard Schnepf, head of the Polish Embassy in Rome, did not ensure that on Polish Army Day, the most important day commemorating the glory and heroism of Polish soldiers, at the most important Polish war cemetery – at Monte Cassino – there would be at least a bouquet of flowers or a single candle.

Mr. Schnepf is not an ambassador because the President of Poland, both current and previous, believes that he does not deserve the office and he will represent the country with the dignity it deserves. Yesterday's action, or lock off, proved their point.

All Poles treat the Polish war cemetery at Monte Cassino with the highest regard. Here is what the plaque at the cemetery says: 

"Passerby, tell Poland that we fell faithfully in her service."

PN: My heart is troubled at such ignorance of the representatives of the current Polish government. Mr. Schnepf could not find a better opportunity to express his thoughts about his countrymen. He truly does not deserve to represent his country anywhere in the world.
