Romney in Poland (updated)

Romney is in Poland where he already met with PM Tusk and Lech Walesa. Tomorrow he will meet with president Komorowski.

While this visit is under blackout from the US media, in Poland it is on the top of the news. He is not only receiving the presidential treatment. He also received full support of the legendary leader of Solidarity (anti-communist workers union in communist Poland), Lech Walesa. (Update: NYT's blog covered it).

“I wish you to be successful because this success is needed to the United States, of course, but to Europe and the rest of the world, too,” Mr. Walesa said to Mr. Romney during a photo-op after private discussions. “Governor Romney, get your success — be successful!”

Romney spotkał się już z premierem Tuskiem i Lechem Walesa. Jutro spotka się z prezydentem Komorowskim. W Gdańsku Romney uhonoruje Obrońców Wybrzeża oraz Poległych Stoczniowców. W Warszawie złoży też kwiaty pod pomnikami Bohaterów Getta i Powstania Warszawskiego oraz przed Grobem Nieznanego Żołnierza.

Dla kontrastu Obama odmówił wizyty w Gdańsku.

Wałęsa will meet Romney on July 30 in his home in Gdansk. 

I'm afraid that now, both Wałęsa and Poland, are permanently off Obama's Christmas Card list (not that they ever were).

Looks like our president has no respect for people who own businesses and/or are successful.

Last Friday our great president said this in front of the TV cameras:

"If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own."
"If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

In those few sentences Obama shows how little he thinks of those who try to better their lives on their own. He also makes an opening for the future when people we never met might be able to co-own our businesses (and that includes our government).

Those words are hardly a motivation for us to work harder.

Okazuje się, ze nasz prezydent nie ma wielkiego szacunku do ludzi którzy maja własne biznesy ani do tych co osiągnęli sukces w życiu.

W piątek przed kamerami telewizyjnymi Obama powiedział: "If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own". (Jeśli miałeś sukces to nie osiagnoles go sam.) "If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. (Jeśli masz biznes - nie zbudowałeś go sam. Ktoś ci w tym pomógł.)

W tym kilku zdaniach Obama pokazuje nie tylko, ze nie ma szacunku do ludzi którzy sami się zatrudniają ale otwiera tez furtkę dla tych którzy zechcą podzielić się ze mną owocami mojej pracy (w tym rząd i urzędasy) gdybym osiągnął sukces.

 Trudno powiedzieć ze takie stawianie sprawy zachęca kogoś do bardziej wytężonej pracy. Ale może o to własnie chodzi. (zobacz video dodane do postu w j. ang.)

The truth is coming out

The Wall Street Journal reports that the real political spending by unions is much higher then reported. They calculate that the total amount contributed by unions in elections and in lobbying may be four times larger than what appears in the FEC reports. And they do that since 2005. In other words Obama is not "outspent" by Romney. Ge just wants it to look that way.

Wall Street Journal uzyskał dostęp do dokumentów Departamentu Pracy które pokazują, ze związki zawodowe od 2005 roku do 2011 wydawały 4 razy więcej na kampanie wyborcze Demokratów niż to oficjalnie podano w dokumentach Federalnej Komisji Wyborczej.

Innymi słowy to nie prawda, ze prezydent Obama jest "outspent" przez Republikanów. Mozna się jedynie domyślać, ze Obama chce aby wszyscy myśleli, ze to on jest "zwykłym" i "małym" kandydatem a Romney okropnym kapitalista który siedzi na pieniądzach i nie wiedząc co z nimi zrobić próbuje kupić fotel prezydencki.

Taxes will go up

Today president Obama announced that he wants to extend Bush tax cut for those who make less then $250,000 a year. In translation he will raise taxes for those that make $250,000 a year. And that includes small business owners, our employers. After all many of them did not separate their businesses from their personal finances. What makes it significant is that those small businesses represent 90% of US economy.

Dziś prezydent Obama ogłosił, ze chce przedłużyć "obniżkę Busha" o następny rok, ale tylko dla tych co zarabiają mniej niż 250 tysięcy dolarów na rok. Innymi słowy większości z nas "łaskawie" przedłuża obniżkę podatkowa tego "głupiego" Busha ale naszym pracodawca podniesie i to dużo. Oznacza to tylko, ze pracodawcy zamiast tworzyć miejsca pracy będą musieli odsyłać duże pieniądze do "wujka" Obamy. A on napewno znajdzie coś na co je można wydać, szybko.

Wprawdzie dziennikarz radiowy mordował jest nazwisko na różne sposoby to jednak szybko się zorietnowalem, ze chodzi o Agnieszkę Radwańska. Agnieszka zmierzy się z Serena Williams. Krakowianka już teraz może liczyć na premię w wysokości 920 tys. dol. Brawo.
