Poland - a "crisis avoider"

A German newspaper, Die Welt, writes that Poland may benefit from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and describes the country as a "crisis avoider." The paper writes that the European Commission has proposed a rescue package for the EU economies in the amount of 750 billion euro (EUR), out of which EUR 63 billion will go to Poland. "Only extremely severely affected COVID-19 countries of southern Europe - Italy and Spain will get more."

According to the author, Philipp Fritz, economically Poland is doing relatively well, and the spread of the virus has been successfully slowed down. He calls Poland a "crisis avoider".
"Since joining the EU in 2004, the country has managed to bypass all major European crises: the euro crisis in 2009, the migration crisis of 2015 and now a coronarvirus crisis," - he writes. According to the him, Poland has managed to become extremely attractive for foreign investments. - "An average of EUR 6 billion a year flows into the country."
