First solar power plant 4.0 in Poland

KGHM Zanam built this electric truck to work in underground conditions

Poland's largest manufacturer of machines and equipment for the mining sector, KGHM Zanam, has started the construction of the only photovoltaic power plant in Poland based on 4.0 technology. A fully functional mini-power plant has already been erected near the construction site.

Photovoltaic power plant will operate on the basis of technology 4.0, which means a fully computerized and automated facility, equipped with a virtual control room and built in accordance with the directions of photovoltaic energy development recommended by the International Energy Agency.

“The high-resolution monitoring system enables technical condition diagnostics and remote fault finding 24/7. Advanced analysis algorithms based on the processing of huge data sets, machine learning and artificial intelligence methods will be used to monitor the state of photovoltaic panels and inverters "- says the press release.

The construction area of the power plant will be 39.5 thousand square meters. The power plant will be equipped with 9,534 photovoltaic panels; the area of the panels is more than twice the area of a full-size soccer field, and the total length of the panels in a row will be over 15 km. The power plant will use 142 km of cables, and the weight of copper in the cables will reach 4.3 tons. The target capacity of the plant will be 3.146 MWp, and the annual level of energy production - about 3 GWh.
