Fitch's optimistic forecasts for Poland

Fitch experts took a closer look at Poland, assessing the credibility and solvency of the country in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. The assessment is positive. The rating remained unchanged - at "A-".

All countries are regularly assessed by three of the world's largest rating agencies: Moody's, Fitch and S&P. Two weeks ago, the first of them did not change Poland's rating. Fitch did the same now.

The agency concluded that despite the crisis caused by the global coronavirus pandemic, which resulted in a sharp decline in GDP and the need to incur huge debt to save jobs, Poland's credit-worthiness has not deteriorated.
