Poland may veto the EU's budget, reaction to attempt to take away sovereignty

Jarosław Kaczyński, in an interview for Gazeta Polska (Polish Gazette), assessed what, in his opinion, the actions of officials and politicians of the European Union are leading to. - We are on the good side of history. There are those who want to take our sovereignty, impose their own whim - said the leader of governing party, Law and Justice.

Today, the institutions of the European Union, its various officials, some politicians whom Poles have never chosen to anything, demand that we verify our entire culture, reject everything that is extremely important to us, because that is what they want. After all, there is no other justification. There is no treaty justification, it is contrary to our declaration on cultural sovereignty made by the Sejm before joining the EU - said Kaczyński.

We will defend our identity, our freedom and our sovereignty at all costs. We will not allow ourselves to be terrorized with money. Our answer to these actions will be clear: NO - he added.

Jarosław Kaczyński was asked whether a veto should be expected for the budget and the coronafund due to his position. - "There'll be a veto."
