The appeals were effective. Thousands of those infected have already benefited from plasma therapy

About 8,000 people in Poland have benefited from plasma therapy in the treatment of COVID-19. The interest in donating plasma to help others infected with the coronavirus is growing significantly. Calls for plasma donation are spread by many people and institutions.

"Nobody is waiting for plasma. Yes, we do not have a lot of stock, but at least for a day or two, maybe three. We work calmly knowing that there will be no shortage of plasma if nothing extraordinary happens" - said profesor Piotr Radziwon, director of the Regional Center for Blood Donation and Blood Treatment in Białystok.

This method is still not fully sanctioned, but is applied based on the results of treatment observed by doctors.
