The government has aid programs for businesses ready. But, "The Union blocks us"

"We are ready with our aid programs for entrepreneurs, but some of them require notification and approval of the European Commission" - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki explained today during the conference. He added that more funds can be allocated to support businesses, but they are blocked by the EU 'de minimis' regulation.

"There is, unfortunately, sometimes a long response time on the part of the European Commission," - the PM said.

He added that, in turn, the 'de minimis' mechanism means that some companies that have already received the maximum amount of subsidies in the spring, around PLN 4 million, cannot receive aid today due to European Union regulations.

He noted that the government was "bombarding the European Commission with telephones and messages". "Please, reply as soon as possible, because we are ready with our programs," he said.
