Truck drivers in Dover are grateful to Poland. "As a Spaniard, I can only say that I envy Poles"

On Friday, the Spanish portal "outono.net" compared the response from the Polish and Spanish governments to the crisis related to the closure of Great Britain's borders and the blocking of thousands of truck drivers in Dover.

"A completely different reaction from the Polish and Spanish governments to the problem of carriers blocked in Great Britain," - wrote the author of the portal.

While the Spanish government has limited itself to saying that it informs drivers that it will not punish them for taking too long to rest in the truck cabins, the Polish government has sent dozens of doctors, diagnosticians, nurses and medics to the UK, who were replaced by 60 military doctors on Friday - wrote the author of the portal, referring to the weekly "DoRzeczy".

"As a Spaniard, I can only say that I envy the Poles," he said. "We have a government that has chosen passivity and incompetence as a tactic against problems."
