Poland will build at least three nuclear power plants

Polish Minister of Climate and Environment, Michał Kurtyk, announced that Poland will build three power plants, two nuclear units in each of them.

According to the National Bank president, Poland has an agreement with the United States for the construction of six nuclear power "blocks" in 20 years, and the central bank is committed to providing financing.

The Polish side will provide financial infrastructure, with the help of the NBP, for 51 percent of necessary funds, American side for 49 percent.

Poland is also looking at Small Nuclear Reactors that cost 3 to 4 million dollars each and could help transform the Polish energy sector and make it independent from Russian gas sold to Poland by Germany.
