Crisis on Poland-Belarus border: Belarusian officers fire in the air, point their weapons at Polish soldiers, terrorists among detained

During a press conference on the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, said that Polish soldiers are being provoked by the Belarusian services. - Belarusian officers fire shots in the air, point their weapons at Polish soldiers, or throw firecrackers - he said.

At the same conference, representatives of the Polish security services presented the findings on illegal migrants detained by the Border Guard and the military. Many of them have dangerous connections and criminal records.

The security services examined the identity of 200 immigrants who had recently crossed the Polish-Belarusian border illegally and ended up in closed centers in the territory of the Republic of Poland. Out of 200 tested men, as many as 50 raise serious objections. Materials found on the immigrants' phones indicate that some of the detainees had contacts with terrorists and received military training. It also quickly turned out that illegal immigrants were trying to hide information about their identity.

In at least a dozen or so cases we deal with young men hiding their identity - said Minister Błaszczak. - From the photos they have saved, it appears that they have combat experience, that they participated in various types of paramilitary organizations in the Middle East, that they are trained in this field - he added.
