Warsaw Uprising Calendar: September 2nd and 3rd - capitulation of the Old Town

 - The capitulation of the insurgent forces in the Old Town. A total of approximately 7,000 Home Army soldiers died during the fighting

- The Germans murder around 1,300 people in the Old Town abandoned by the insurgents. 

- Massive bombing of Warsaw by German Luftwaffe.

- The Germans recognize the veterans' rights of the Home Army soldiers.
