City of Krakow will buy 20 e-buses

On the last day of 2021, the City of Krakow (Cracow) signed an agreement guaranteeing a subsidy of PLN 41.7 million ($10,336,796) from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management for the purchase of 20 electric buses and 20 charging stations.

The new buses will be low-floor and equipped with a boarding platform for wheelchair users. With the blind and visually impaired people in mind, the vehicles will be equipped with a voice announcement system. Air conditioning will provide all passengers with comfort during summer travel. Inside, there will also be USB ports for charging smartphones.

The tender for the purchase of buses will be announced later this year. After completing this project, Krakow will have a total of 100 electricians in its fleet.
