Daniel Obajtek, president of PKN Orlen, a Polish oil refiner, and petrol retailer, announced price cuts at petrol stations in Poland.
"We act decisively so that Polish drivers buy the cheapest fuels in Europe," - he said.
"Our company has fully secured oil supplies to refineries in Poland, Czechia and Lithuania, where delivery is taking place on a regular basis. If supply from the east ceases, deliveries will come from alternative sources."
Orlen is currently expecting larger oil deliveries from Saudi Arabia and the North Sea and is planning to fully supply all its European refineries.
