Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak informed via Twitter about sending a request for proposal (LOR) to the United States regarding the acquisition by Poland of "over 80" M142 HIMARS heavy missile system batteries with 500 launchers under the Homar program.
Such a purchase would have to be associated with a long-term contract and be extremely costly. 500 HIMARS launchers would make Poland one of the largest military powers in the region.
