Robert Lewandowski: my story with Bayern is over

The Polish national soccer team captain, Robert Lewandowski, announced the end of his cooperation with Bayern Munich. "The transfer will be the best solution for both sides," added the striker during the national team camp that began on Monday.

Robert Lewandowski's contract with the German champion will be valid for another year, but on Monday, the footballer admitted in Warsaw that he does not see his future in this club.

"One thing is certain for today - my story with Bayern is over. After everything that has happened in recent months, I cannot imagine further, good cooperation. I am aware that the transfer will be the best solution for both sides," said the world's best striker.

After the last match of the Bundesliga season, Lewandowski considered one of the best strikers of all time, announced that he would not extend the contract with Bayern. "Lewy" wore Bayern's colors for eight years.

Robert did not rule out that he would leave the club this summer because this is the last moment the German side can receive a compensation fee for him. He has officially confirmed that he no longer wants to play for Bayern.

His agent, Pini Zahavi, said that no specific offer to extend the contract had been received. It is speculated that either FC Barcelona or Manchester United may be Lewandowski's next club.
