Moscow comments on the attack on the mall

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, informed that there were about 1,000 people in the shopping center at the time of the attack. So far, the authorities have confirmed the deaths of 20 victims of the attack and at least 58 injured (25 in hospital). The rescue operation is ongoing, and 36 people are still missing.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry commented on Monday's attack on the Kremenchuk shopping center.

In a statement on the Telegram, the ministry described the attack as a "precise hit" on warehouses with weapons and ammunition received by Ukraine from the United States and Europe. According to Moscow, the equipment held in the hangars mentioned above would be sent to Donbas in the future.

The Russian ministry said that the explosion at the shopping mall was caused by the ammunition held at the site. In addition, according to the Russians, the shopping center was "out of order."
