102 years ago, Soviets lost the war with Poland

"Soviet Russia lost only one war, the war with Poland," - said President Andrzej Duda at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw.

In a speech delivered on Polish Army Day, the president stressed that "102 years have passed since the great Battle of Warsaw, which was one of those that decided the fate of the world. (...) Underestimated by the Russians, the Polish army turned out to be an insurmountable barrier."

"In those August days, it turned out that Poles have the hearts of lions and can mobilize themselves to fight and turn the fate with their bravery. (...) We look with pride at Polish history and that victory. Soviet Russia lost only one war, with Poland, said Duda."
