Putin will visit Kaliningrad, as close to Poland as possible

Tomorrow, September 1st, on the anniversary of Germany's invasion of Poland that started WWII, Vladimir Putin will visit Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad is the westernmost part of Russian territory.

"The trip of the leader of the Russian Federation is planned on the occasion of Knowledge Day, but not only" - reported the Russian news agency TASS.

Putin may raise the issue of the 'Suwałki Gap' and the possible corridor connecting Kaliningrad with Belarus.
