If Italy asks for the President of EC to be recalled Polish MEPs will support that

Huge emotions were aroused in Poland by the scandalous words of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who threatened Italy with the consequences if they elect the center-right party in today's elections.

Von der Leyen was asked at a meeting with students at Princeton about the potential victory of the center-right in Italy. - "If things are going in a difficult direction, we have tools, as in the case of Poland and Hungary."

Nobody doubts that even if the law has not been broken, good manners have been violated. This violates Articles 4 and 5 of the Treaty on European Union, which says that the EU institutions respect the identity of the Member States and cooperate loyally with them.

It is an interference with something that is the exclusive right of each member state, it is hitting the heart of democracy. I think Ursula von der Leyen realized that the opinion completely exposed EU policy. The words of indignation that came not only from Italy are legitimate, and necessary for this impunity and abuse of unauthorized competences in the EU - says Elżbieta Rafalska, MEP, a former minister.

When asked if MEPs from Italy propose to dismiss Ursula von der Leyen, she would support them, she replies: "Yes of course. Without a moment of hesitation."
