Poland started consultations with the US about joint production of ammunition

President of Poland, Andrzej Duda: "I can disclose that I spoke with Joe Biden about starting joint military production, such as ammunition."

Last Friday, President Duda opened a meeting of the National Security Council. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who was in Kyiv, did not attend the meeting. The event was attended by marshals of the Sejm and Senate, ministers, members of the Chancellery of the President, and representatives of all parliamentary options in Poland.

The National Security Council is a constitutional advisory body to the head of state on internal and external security.

At the press conference after the meeting, Andrzej Duda said that the meeting was classified, so he could not reveal any details. The president thanked all the participants in the talks "for their very serious approach to the issues raised at the Council."

"I can reveal that I spoke with President Joe Biden about starting joint military production, such as ammunition. Thus, it can be said that the conversation on this subject has been initiated at the highest presidential level with the United States. Certainly, these talks will be continued."
