WPolityce(.): German newspapers "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" and "Die Tageszeitung" criticized the resolution adopted by the Polish Parliament ordering the referendum to be held together with the Polish parliamentary elections on October 15.
"Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" assessed that the Polish referendum is to serve only the ruling party.
Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Profesor Zdzisław Krasnodębski, commented on the attack:
"It will be difficult to explain to the average German, who would like to express his/hers view on immigration, that the referendum in Poland is wrong and still maintain that we (Poles) have authoritarianism and democracy flourishes in Germany."
