WPolityce(.)pl: The Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw today suspended the proceedings regarding the environmental decision regarding coal mining Turów.
The decision of the Provincial Administrative Court was well received by government representatives.
"The Provincial Administrative Court suspended the court proceedings in the case of Turów. The functioning of the mine is not threatened and the mining concession is valid until 2044. This is a key decision for Poland's energy security" – Jacek Sasin, Minister of State Assets, wrote on Twitter.
PGE spent PLN 42 million on the implementation of the provisions of the environmental decision for Turów, the complaints against the decision are groundless, PGE president Wojciech Dąbrowski told PAP.
"From the beginning, we have been of the opinion that the complaint of the German city of Zittau and environmental activists from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany is completely unfounded."
