I decided to create a military task force in Operation Ryngraf near the border with Belarus. The operation aims to train the Polish Army in the province of Podlaskie, near the border, and create reserves in the event of a deterioration of the situation - said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak.
"There is no doubt that the Polish border is under threat. We are witnessing ongoing pressure on the Polish border by migrants attempting to cross the border illegally, who are encouraged to do so by the Belarusian regime. There is no doubt that the Belarusian regime is cooperating with the Kremlin. This action is aimed at Poland to lead to the destabilization of our country. I am convinced that this action will fail due to the service of the Polish Army, and everything related to strengthening the border with Belarus."
Operation "Gryf" is underway under the command of the Border Guard, aimed at sealing the border with Belarus. Up to 4,000 Polish Army soldiers supporting the Border Guard will participate in this operation.
