Poland will not subsidize Ukrainian oligarchs

DoRzeczy(.)pl: During the press conference, the Minister of Justice and the head of of Sovereign Poland party, Zbigniew Ziobro, referred to the grain dispute between Poland and Ukraine. The minister emphasized that Poland had made "thousands of gestures" towards Kyiv, including proposing grain transit.

- The Ukrainians did not want this. They wanted the grain to go to Polish warehouses. Their grain production is twice as cheap there, which would mean the destruction of Polish agriculture and the bankruptcy of the Polish small farms. We can help and do it militarily, but we cannot agree to what the German politicians, Ursula von der Leyen and President Zelensky, wanted. They wanted us to subsidize Ukrainian oligarchs and large Western companies that own local farms (in Ukraine) at the expense of Polish agriculture. It would be suicide, - said Minister Ziobro during the conference in Konin.
