January marked three years since Navalny was arrested and imprisoned after returning to Russia from Germany, where he was undergoing treatment following a poisoning attempt.
There were rumors in the media about a "blood clot" that allegedly led to Navalny's death, but Putin's spokesman did not confirm this information.
According to the information from Russian independent media, Navalny did not complain about his health lately.
Polish MEP Anna Fotyga referred to his death on social media platform X/Twitter:
Putin is a war criminal and murderer. The death of Alexei Navalny only confirms that no one should have any doubts about what to expect from KGB agents. The only way to bring about any change in Russia is to defeat it in Ukraine and ensure justice for all victims of Putin's regime.
