Poland: More troops on the eastern border

The head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced that the Polish Army will increase its presence on the borders with Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.

– We will strengthen the presence of the Polish army in all border voivodeships in the east.

It is done to deter our opponents so that no evil empire will ever attack our homeland and NATO countries so that no evil empire that is reborn in the world would ever see an attack on Poland as worthy and profitable

Since the Belarusian authorities started transferring illegal migrants in 2021, Poland has been forced to employ significant law enforcement forces and financial resources to secure the border. In mid-February, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that, together with the Minister of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, he had decided to quickly modernize the border barrier with Belarus.
