Poland celebrates an Independence Day. 100,000 marched in Warsaw

 The Independence March passed through Warsaw. The participants carried white and red flags, hats, scarves, and red armbands. This year, the March was held under the slogan "The power of Great Poland is us!".

According to estimates from the Warsaw Security Bureau, approximately 90,000 people took part in this year's Independence March. Marzena Gawkowska, deputy spokeswoman of the capital city hall, told the Polish Press Agency. She noted that the march was peaceful and no serious incidents had been reported, although pyrotechnics were used.

Before the march began, the organizers estimated that approximately 100,000 people would participate.

President-elect Donald Trump conveyed his best wishes to Poles worldwide on Independence Day, announced President Andrzej Duda, who spoke with the American politician. The Polish president also said that he would soon meet his American counterpart.
