Holiday miracle in Poland: Left-wing politicians celebrate Christmas

A government meeting on Christmas Eve is probably not a very common occurrence. Nevertheless, Prime Minister Donald Tusk wanted to convince the public that he was not afraid of working during the holiday season. To everyone's surprise, we experienced a bizarre miracle: The members of the 'secular' and religion-free government sang Christmas carols. The spectacle ended with 'let's get to work.'

"I know you know all the verses; I proved it too, but we have work ahead of us." – Tusk said

The users of X reacted:

  • "Even those from the Left sing (Christmas carols). Miracles."

  • "What? Are they Catholics now?"

  • "It's a beautiful sight! Those who say they don't believe call Baby Jesus "Lord." The presidential elections should be held every year."

  • "Two in one, hypocrisy and sarcasm."
Even the President of Warsaw and presidential candidate, who ordered the removal of crosses from all public spaces a few months ago, wished everyone Merry Christmas.

"Miracle! The president converted before the elections! Incredible!!" - wrote one X user.

At the same time, there is an initiative in the Polish Parliament (Sejm) to make confession available only to adults.

"As the memories of many people show, confession is an experience of humiliation and fear, a traumatic, nasty event that children did not want and from which they were unable to defend themselves.

... Confession is a form of psychological violence. It is an interference in the intimate world of a child conducted under the authority of "God", no adult stranger has the right to interrogate a child alone without the supervision of guardians and psychologists ... children's confessors are celibate men who do not have appropriate psychological preparation" - wrote the author of the petition to Sejm.

PN: I agree with one of the commenters: to make the world a beautiful place to live in, we should have presidential elections every year and as close to Christmas as possible.
