On November 14, Prime Minister Donald Tusk held an "informal, three-hour meeting" with Robert Fico, the head of the Slovak government. The Polish Prime Minister usually brags about his high-level meetings on social media, but he never mentioned this one.
In light of the fact that four days ago, the Prime Minister of Slovakia visited Moscow, where he met Vladimir Putin, Polish media started asking questions about this "informal" meeting. Among them, what did Tusk want to convey to Putin through Fico?
Because the Slovakian Prime Minister is criticized for his visit to Moscow, he posted this:
I would like to remind you once again that I promote sovereign politics. Top EU officials were informed about my trip and its purpose on Friday. My meeting today was a reaction to the words of the President of Ukraine, V. Zelensky, who (…) said that he was against any gas transit through Ukraine.
PoloniaNews (PN): In other words, Fico's visit and its purpose were no secret to other EU leaders, and they should stop pretending their "outrage." Germany, for example, never stopped importing Russian gas. Zelensky's decision simply unmasks their hypocrisy.
