Poland: Prime Minister demands a vote of confidence

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said today to the parliamentary opposition: "Poles do not need your quarrels. Poles do not need your fights... If you have enough votes, please vote us out or stop festering, stop judging, don't come up with substitute subjects."

- A new world order is being made before our eyes, the world after coronavirus. We know perfectly well that what is happening today will affect Poland and Europe in 5 to 10 years. And in such circumstances Poland needs an approach that will be most appropriate for the pursuit of its interests - the head of the Polish government began his parliamentary speech.

- In such time of the crisis, we need unity, unity between the executive and legislative authorities, between the Sejm, the Senate, the president, the government and local governments. We need it badly. And that's why I spoke with the president in the last few days. The president proposed to cut this festival that you are trying to organize, this festival of brawls and to simply say: "Check."

Speaker of the Sejm, announced that a motion for a vote of confidence for the government of Mateusz Morawiecki had been received by the parliament. It will be considered today.
