Central Bureau of Investigation and the Border Guard thwarted cocaine smuggling worth PLN 3 billion ($760 m) - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Tuesday.

- When the world has dealt with the coronavirus, international criminal groups were still active. A few months ago we managed to carry out an extremely complicated and successful operation - the PM said at a press conference.

- We managed to prevent smuggling of great value, a record value in Poland. This transport arrived from Ecuador to Hamburg, Germany. And their services failed to detect drugs. We take all these types of threats seriously - the PM emphasized. - Through this operation you can see how we care about the safety... Certainly a significant part of this transport was also going to Scandinavia and back to Germany. It is worth to note the great professionalism of our services - noted Morawiecki, thanking the officers participating in the action.
