Poland: Covid-19 restrictions extended until April 18

The Polish government has decided that the current restrictions will be extended by more than a week - until April 18 - said Adam Niedzielski, Minister of Health, on Wednesday.

In his opinion, the observed results regarding new infections are too weak a signal to be treated with optimism. There is a challenging situation in hospitals regarding the occupied beds; the most difficult one is in the Silesia region.

According to the minister, Poland is dominated by the British coronavirus mutation - 90 percent; there are isolated cases of South African and Brazilian mutations.
