Warsaw Uprising Calendar: September 6th and 7th - Powiśle falls


September 6 

- Overnight there is a real exodus of the population of Powiśle, which is trying to get through Aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenue) to the southern side of Downtown.

- The last points of Polish resistance in Powiśle fell.

September 7

- Talks of the insurgent delegation, composed Maria Tarnowska, vice-president of the Polish Red Cross, with the commander-in-chief of the German troops, General Eric von Bach-Zelewski, on the evacuation of civilians from Warsaw.

- The insurgent authorities introduced a curfew in Żoliborz, starting at 8pm.
