Polish startup has AI based stethoscope that can help parents perform lung examinations at home

Polish startup, StethoMe, created an intelligent stethoscope to be used by parents of children suffering from asthma and other respiratory problems in order to early detect diseases or their progress. StethoMe is able to "auscultate" the patient on its own, then eliminate unwanted sounds that may arise, for example, when moving the device over the skin, and then evaluate the sound file based on machine learning algorithms and detect breathing abnormalities.

StethoMe relies on medical AI algorithms working together with a wireless stethoscope and dedicated application. StethoMe can be used by patients at their homes.

The product is already certified as a medical device in the EU, the FDA approval process in the U.S., meanwhile, is underway.
