Germany has gas reserves for only 18 days

The German Ministry of Economics and Climate has presented calculations showing that Germany's gas reserves will suffice for less than 18 days for the economy to function.

The ministry responded to an interpellation by Michael Espendiller, MP from Alternative for Germany (AfD), who asked about Germany's state of gas reserves. The inquiry concerned the possibility of covering the demand for gas in the event of low temperatures and "gas network failure." According to the presented calculations, the reserves maintained in Germany will suffice for 17.7 working days.

It is worth noting that four out of forty-seven warehouses operating in Germany are controlled by Gazprom.
