Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, declared that Poland is ready to provide educational assistance to children from Ukraine, should the conflict in the east escalate.
Poland is preparing for millions of refugees from Ukraine who would probably come to our country in the event of a Russian invasion of their homeland. The voivodes, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and the Administration, prepare detailed action plans for such eventuality.
Among the escapees, there would be many children who did not speak Polish. The head of the Ministry of Education in an interview with Polska Times assured us that Poland "is prepared to help our friends from Ukraine".
He explained that "1.5 million children have left the school system in Poland in the last 15 years" so there is room to add a lot of children.
