Since the outbreak of the war on February 24, at least 116 buildings of religious significance (excluding adjacent buildings) have been destroyed in at least 13 regions of Ukraine: Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Żytomierz, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Lviv, Mikolajow, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv - according to the report of the Ukrainian State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, published on Monday.

Most of the destroyed religious temples in Ukraine (91 out of 116) are Orthodox churches. Mosques, synagogues, Catholic and Protestant churches, and religious educational institutions.

So far, most of the destroyed buildings have been found in the Donetsk, Kiev, and Kharkiv oblasts (at least 20 in each of them). Half of all cases of destruction of sacred buildings in Ukraine were recorded in the above-mentioned three oblasts.
