Sikorski's tweet was used by the Russians at the UN forum

After leaks from the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Radosław Sikorski suggested that the United States could have done it. This was critically assessed, even by his party colleagues at the Civic Platform. Unfortunately, the entry of the former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs caused negative international consequences - it became, inter alia, an argument for Russian propaganda, which tries to deny allegations of sabotage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines and blame the Americans.

The tweet was used even at the diplomatic level. During the meeting of the UN Security Council, Russia's representative to the UN Security Council cited Sikorski's entry, pointing out that Moscow had nothing to do with the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

"Previously, it was not very appropriate to do so, but now, for the good of Poland, our country's diplomacy must make the world aware that Radosław Sikorski is the FORMER head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will never have this function again."

The tweet could be treated as an irresponsible post. The problem is that it was written not only by the former minister of foreign affairs but also by the current chairman of the European Parliament delegation to the United States. Everyone who observes Mr. Sikorski's latest activities knows that he tends to behave unusually. In this case, there are profound consequences because he provided arguments for the Russians. The entry had to be denied by the Americans. After all, the case concerns actions that are of a military nature because if the gas leaks were an act of sabotage, then it was an attack on the infrastructure. It is unknown by whom and for what purpose, but everyone agrees that it was an act of sabotage.

It seems to me that Mr. Sikorski should resign from his function. This cannot be blurred or compensated for by the declarations made now by him and his friends.
