Polish Army placed an order for 1,000 infantry fighting vehicles

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, approved on Tuesday a framework contract for the supply of 1,400 new infantry vehicles for the army, including 1,000 Borsuk (en. Badger) tracked amphibious infantry fighting vehicles and accompanying vehicles (reconnaissance, command, medical evacuation, technical support, and contamination recognition) based on the same platform.

"The approval of the agreement on the procurement of Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles for the needs of the Polish Army was described by one of the Internet portals as the largest project for the Polish defense industry in the last 50 years" – said Błaszczak on Tuesday.
