Polish energy company wants to build a wind farm on the Lithuanian sea

A news portal dealing with energy, Energetyka24(.)com, reports that the Orlen Neptun, a subsidiary of the Polish energy company PKN Orlen, which develops offshore wind energy, has established its branch in Lithuania.

The PKN Orlen and Orlen Lietuva are interested in a future auction for the development of a wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Lithuania is preparing to build two wind farms in the Baltic Sea, each with a capacity of 700 MW, with an initial cost of €1.8 billion for the first one.

Orlen plans to invest EUR 26.63 billion over seven years in the development of renewable energy sources and produce 9 GW of green energy annually by 2030.
