The first HIMARS in Poland

Today, Monday, news portal, Niezalezna(dot)pl reported that Poland accepted a first batch of HIMARS launchers into the Polish Army.

This batch of launchers will be sent to the 1st Artillery Brigade of the 16th Division - informed the Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak. M142 HIMARS rocket launchers will provide the necessary fire support for subunits of the land forces by performing deep strikes.

Błaszczak assured that "our ambition is to strengthen the Polish Army as soon as possible" because "as the example of Ukraine shows, artillery plays an important role in armed conflicts."

- We will have a large firepower in a relatively short time and we will strengthen the Polish artillery. The HIMARS Academy (located in Poland) will be an important training and service center for countries that have or will have launchers in the future - he pointed out.
