Hacker attack on Polish railways, broadcasting of the radio-stop signal

Niezalezna(.)pl/WPolityce(.)pl: Polish Railway Lines (PKP) reported that on the night from Friday to Saturday in the province of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, an unauthorized radio-stop signal was broadcast on the local line Daleszewo - Szczecin, and on line 351, Choszczno - Szczecin. The traffic control posts and train drivers in the area picked up the signal. The trains have automatically stopped.

According to unofficial information, the Russian anthem and Vladimir Putin's speech were heard during the break in broadcasting this signal. The recording was published on Twitter by journalist Krzysztof Łuksza.

Magdalena Janus, spokeswoman from the PKP PLK press team, informed that passengers are safe, but there are some delays. She stated that by 23:30 on Friday, more than twenty trains were delayed. On the other hand, freight traffic, suspended for safety reasons, was restored just before 2:00.

Similar incidents were reported in other regions of the country.

The authorities take this situation very seriously:

"We know that attempts to destabilize the Polish state have been going on for many months. Such attempts are made by the Russian Federation in cooperation with Belarus, and also for this reason, we do not underestimate any information that comes to the ABW."
